THE HUMAN ISSUE.

There's a lot going on at the moment for everyone around the globe and it shows. some of us are silently adjusting to the shift in our immediate environments, just trying to survive. while others of us are finding and using our voices to influence the changes we are currently facing. both paths are absolutely vital right now, and beyond.

I've been trying to stay off the news and websites, because my nerves. Then, the center for disease control and prevention highly suggested we start to wear face masks during the remainder of Covid19 (however long that should be). The CDC suggests the masks should be made of 100% cotton, or tightly woven but breathable fabric. So, I picked up a few yards while out on a store run. as fabric shops in most places are closed for the time being, i did get lucky in finding cute colors/prints. I don't exactly have the materials or the manpower to make a huge donation to our local medical professionals/essential workers, or to mass produce. masks will be available for purchase while my supplies last. also, if you you are experiencing any special circumstances that prevent you from purchasing a mask, please get in contact with me and I will do my best to ensure that a mask be made available to you.

how can you do your part? if you have the ability to sew masks, please check with your local medical professionals/essential workers. some have been requesting masks. THESE THINGS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:

  • *FABRIC MASKS DO NOT PROVIDE THE SAME PROTECTION AS SURGICAL MASKS, ALTHOUGH SURGICAL MASKS DO NOT PROVIDE 100% PROTECTION.

  • *MASKS ARE NOT MEDICALLY APPROVED. THEY MAY HOWEVER PROVIDE A LAYER OF PROTECTION, THAT YOU WOULD NOT OTHERWISE HAVE WITHOUT ONE, TO YOU OR SOMEONE THAT YOU MAY COME IN CONTACT WITH.

  • *MASK WEARING HAS BEEN UNIVERSALLY ENCOURAGED. WEARING A MASK IS NOT ONLY FOR THE SICK OR ELDERLY.

  • *WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN.

  • * WASH YOUR MASK(S) DAILY AND REPLACE YOUR NON-WOVEN LAYER (FILTER), DO NOT REUSE.

  • *DO NOT WEAR FACE MASKS IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES, PAST OR PRESENT.

  • *SAVE SURGICAL GRADE MASKS FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND ESSENTIAL WORKERS WHO ARE ON THE FRONTLINES.
